DrupalED - Drupal distributions for education. ‘From first post: What is DrupalED? DrupalED is a distribution that combines core Drupal.org with a selection of modules optimized for use in educational settings. These range from K-12 to University, as well as per-class, per-department, and per-institution scenarios. It is free, open source, libre, and available for you. Or it will be, soon.
